The oil press, or ‘tafona’, is the place where olive oil - an essential ingredient in Mallorcan cuisine - was produced in the past. The name “Sa Tafona de Son Fang”, given to a restaurant which preserves the rural flavour of Eastern Mallorca, originates from this, and from the estate it is located in.
